MuxCo (North Yorkshire), as the name suggests is the name of the DAB multiplex operator for North Yorkshire. It is a consortium made up of two companies - The Local Radio Company owning 60% with transmitter company National Grid Wireless owning the other 40%.

The DAB licence was advertised by Ofcom on June 13, 2007. At the close on September 12, 2007, only one application had been received by MuxCo (North Yorkshire) but had to wait until December 13, 2007 until they were officially announced as the winners of the licence.

Only three transmitters were confirmed as carrying the platform initially; Bilsdale, Harlow Hill & Oliver's Mount (although this was expected to go live about a year after launch). As required, the platform has to carry the local BBC service BBC Radio York.
